Kapela Holdings and its Broad-based Empowerment partner DEC (Disability Empowerment Concerns Trust) have concluded an investment transaction with Marsh South Africa.

Marsh, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Marsh & McLennan companies (NYSE: MMC) completed, early in 2012, the acquisition of Alexander Forbes Brokerage Business. Marsh South Africa business includes Alexander Forbes (AF) South African insurance brokering operations, Alexander Forbes Risk Services (AFRS) and related ancillary operations, and AF insurance brokering operations in Botswana and Namibia. Marsh has agreed to acquire other AF local operations across sub-Saharan Africa. Israel Skosana, the executive Chairman of Kapela, has been appointed Chairman of Marsh South Africa.
