CFAO Holdings South Africa

CFAO Holdings South Africa (CHSA), previously Toyota Tsusho Africa (TTAF) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of CFAO SAS (CFAO), who in turn Heads Up the African Region as a subsidiary of Toyota Tsusho Corporation (TTC) Japan. TTAF was founded in South Africa in 1999 as a trading and a supply-chain specialist within the Toyota Group. TTAF operate five (5) divisions:

  1. Global Trade & Logistics, which provides specialised and tailored supply chain solutions to customers mainly in the OEM and Tier 1 sectors of the automotive industry,
  2. Automotive Logistics, which provides effective management of all export activities for vehicles from Toyota Motor Corporation and Hino Motors Limited, destined for distributors in Africa,
  3. Wheel & Tyre, a state of the art equipment and technology, to give TTAF the ability to assemble wheels and tyres for Toyota South Africa,
  4. Machinery & Chemicals: services offered by the Engineering and Installation services include, Sourcing, Logistic Management, Project Management, Installation Commissioning, Machinery Operational Training, Machinery Maintenance & Support, Safety Management. The Chemicals Division is responsible for the procurement of chemicals for the Mobility, Life & Community and Earth & Resources industries,
  5. Metals, which consists of Green Metals and Steel. Green Metals is a scrap metal recycling plant that was established to provide production facilities with a logistic solution for handling and recycling the scrap metal waste.

Associate Companies of Toyota Tsusho Africa are:

  1. Toyota Tsusho SA Processing (TTSAP) which supplies the inner and outer sheets for Hilux and Corolla vehicles,
  2. Toyota Boshoku SA (TBSA) which manufactures automotive interior systems and products, including seats and textile components,
  3. Toyota Gosei SA (TGSA) which specialises in components such as airbag modules, rubber sealing products, and
